Craib has just completed the development of a new brand for Canadian Oil Sands (COS). COS provides an investment opportunity in the oil sands through its interest in Syncrude, a leader in Canada’s oil sands industry.
One of the most important components of the brand identity is the logo – comprised of two elements: the droplet leaf and corporate signature. The leaf is composed of five ‘droplets’, and symbolizes COS’s investment in Syncrude. The droplets illustrate the prime purpose of Syncrude’s operation: to extract oil from the sands and refine it into a product ready for use by its customers.
Applications so far includes a complete stationery package, corporate website and work is under way on the COS 2010 Annual Report which is released at the end of March.
